Disney Music Group and City of Hope teamed up to raise money for cancer research, treatment and education. In 2009, fans flocked to the Nokia Center at LA Live as Disney Music Group artists Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato and Jesse McCartney took the stage for this benefit concert, nationally presented by Staples. The event built upon the success of the 2008 Concert for Hope which featured Miley Cyrus, the Jonas Brothers and Demi Lovato. City of Hope benefitted from ticket sales from both events, which have generated more than $2 million in support.

Justin Bieber has selected City of Hope as one of the U.S. charities that will benefit from his Believe Charity Drive, an effort to amass millions of dollars in donations to worthy causes. The pop music artist launched the drive in conjunction with the Nov. 1 release of his holiday album "Under the Mistletoe." He donateda portion of the proceeds from his platinum album to charity, and he called on fans to give their own donations to the charities in his drive. "The Believe Charity Drive directly benefits charities that are making a difference in the world," Bieber said. Selected charities emphasize education, youth well-being and music.
