Hot Wheels has teamed up with NASCAR driver Dale Earnhardt, Jr., to design his ultimate Hot Wheels dream car, the “Hammerhead,” and a corresponding line of licensed apparel. The clothing line is available exclusively at Walmart stores in the U.S.
Last year, Hot Wheels teamed up with Danica Patrick to create the first celebrity-designed Hot Wheels car, the "Danicar." Walmart and NASCAR have embarked on a new partnership that will provide the mega-retailer’s customers who are race fans with NASCAR branded merchandise and special savings on race tickets available at Walmart.com/NASCAR for select races. The collaborative program, dubbed “Race Time,” is the largest retail promotion in NASCAR’s history and rolled out in 1,500 Walmart stores at start of the season with the 53rd running of the Daytona 500 on Feb. 20. The partnership will eventually expand to include additional licensed merchandise and various sponsor products. Source: License! Global Weekly E-news Walmart and NASCAR announced a new relationship designed to give Walmart customers new NASCAR branded merchandise and discounts on tickets for select races. The new “Race Time” retail program is the largest retail promotion in NASCAR's history and launches in 1,500 Walmart stores Feb. 20, in conjunction with the 53rd Daytona 500.
The program kicks off with select NASCAR and NASCAR team licensed merchandise in Walmart stores and online, including t-shirts, racing flags and tailgating food and beverages.
