In a few short years, our ability to forcibly interrupt consumers with our advertising is going to be greatly diminished.  There will be more channels, more content across more screens, and many fewer interruptive ads.  Yes, we can continue to place ads in and around the content, and we can continue to hope that consumers see them and are impacted by them; but there is no getting around the fact that the format of interruptive video advertising (TV commercials) is going to take a huge hit as all of our devices become channels that can effectively disintermediate the advertising format we’ve all grown up with.  At Ignited (www.ignitedusa.com) we’re already imagining a world

Hello all, 

 

Great to find an online marketing community, one that I actually can engage myself in. After having a thorough search I am proud to say I am comforatable here. 

 

Now with that being said, I am a video marketing consultant. If you have any questions regarding such go ahead and ask! I will be glad to answer any questions that you do have.

 

Video has come along way, and more and more people are sharing and watching more videos. Through text, email, computer, tablets, and of course television. Why not expand your company or products through video?

It won't be long before 3D TV and Monitors you don't need glasses for hit the US market. That is why we should be talking 3D content and stuff. We are hosting a 3D Networking event at the Jon Lovitz Podcast Theater on Tuesdays 4-7pm starting July 26, 2011.

I'm curious as to what you all think would be the primary focus of a very basic class such as marketing/promotion.  What would be the one thing that you would want your students to understand?

Branded Merchandising - WHAT WORKS?

Do you plan on giving away branded promotional items to visitors to your trade show booth? Should you? If you do, what should you give?

It has become such a commonplace that "something" should be given out at a show that all too often just "anything" is. In that case, it won't do any good. First, why use branded merchandise giveaways?
 
The obvious answer, first - they attract people to your booth
They reinforce your brand, products, or services in customers' minds
They promote what you offer as an alternative to their current supplier
They promote goodwill
They can educate or inform about new products and services
